Nicaragua Christian Academy Academic Excellence With A Christian Foundation

NCA Nejapa

Instructional Levels and Areas

Nicaragua Christian Academy Nejapa is committed to fostering academic excellence with a Christian foundation. Through our program, we seek to provide students with the skills necessary to continue their education at the university level and to be successful in their future vocations. It is our desire that our students develop personal relationships with Jesus Christ and grow in their commitment to follow God's direction for their lives and to Christian service.

We are committed to excellence in education, and the strength of our instructional staff makes this a possibility.  All of our 35 teachers are either currently studying education or already have their education degree. All of our teachers have finished or will be finishing soon the ACSI certification, which prepares them for biblical integration in all subjects.

NCA Nejapa has developed a comprehensive curriculum at all levels of the school, based on the MINED framework with the integration of biblical worldview.  We use textbooks from a variety of publishers in order to accomplish our curricular goals, including Santillana, Nacho Nicaragüense and Roger Matus.  In order to foster a culture of reading, the students participate in an hour of reading time with our library from pre-school to 6th grade and the language arts teachers at the high school level read 4 novels a year.

English Program

Nicaragua Christian Academy Nejapa also highly values English skills, which are developed from K to 4th grade as an EFL course and then by skill level from 5th to 11th grade. Most of the students who graduate from Nejapa demonstrate an intermediate to advanced level of English.

Vocational School

NCA Nejapa offers two hours of vocational classes in electricity, music, applied mathematics, environmental studies, sewing, metals, culinary arts and carpintery every week for secondary students. They are taught different life skills according to their interests in small groups which fosters possible career paths for the future and their appreciation of all types of work.
